"In a nutshell, there have been continuing ills and kills, some severe, all over the watershed. Now we have documentation that the kills have crossed into all available river fish species. Forty-two miles of the North Fork Shenandoah endured a massive fish kill of suckers, muskies, smallmouths and sunfish the spring of 2006, and there were extensive hogsucker and redhorse sucker die-offs both in the Potomac and Shenandoah systems."
